 How do you feel when someone casts doubt on your ability to do something?

 Do others have more confidence in you than you do yourself? Or do they have less?

DAVID AND GOLIATH

Read: 1 Samuel 17:1-27
Description:
The armies of Israel had drawn a battle line with the Philistines. Every day the 9 foot giant Goliath would come forward to defy the Israelites and challenge them to send someone forward to fight him.

1. What does Goliath’s armor and weaponry reveal about him? (verses 4-7)

2. How would you view Goliath’s proposal?
o With respect?
o Ridicule?
o Dismay and terror
o Faith and courage?

3. What motivated David to fight Goliath? (verses25-27)
4. What’s at stake for the victor? For Israel?

Ask God to help fight the battle of the giants in your life?
